Towers Brides-Question

I know we have 1 hour after the reception for clean up. But I am curious what past brides have done regarding this.

We'll have quite a bit of candles, centerpiece stuff, guest book stuff, and any left over alcohol. The limo is picking us up and bringing us back to the hotel at the end of the night.

Did Kate let you leave anything there until the next morning? or did you have to carry it all out that night?

Re: Towers Brides-Question

  • Our caterer packed up everything and we had planned to meet them the week after the wedding to pick it all up (candles, photos, left over wine the we provided for dinner, etc.). As we were leaving though it had already been packed up so we grabbed a family member's car (parked at the Village Inn), loaded it and then went to the Coast Guard House for a little after party.
  • My venue (Kinney Bungalow) also only allots one hour after the reception for clean up.  I asked my caterer (Blackstone) about this when I met with them and they said an hour was plenty of time to clean everything and pack up.
  • We had the caterer and then our DOC pack everything up. The caterer did a good job of packing up things as the night went on and they cleaned things up .
At the end of the night my DOC went around packing up all the table numbers, decor, and frames etc...but it didn't take very ong, maybe 20 minutes. So if you have a few people esignated to help out (moh, best man, brother or sister) it won't take long at all.
Don't foroget you will end up tossing a lot of stuff.  like our menus got tossed, except for one we kept as a momento.

At the end of the night, t he caterer and one of the ladies helping out at the towers just loaded everything onto the trolley for my parents... and they took it all back to the hotel.
My parents had no help really so it took them a while to unpack it (thorugh the trolley driver thankfully helped my mom since my dad couldnt really lift anything because of his asthma) but if someone went back with them to help (uh) then it wouldn't have been much of a task at all.
