SUGGESTIONS FOR AFFORDABLE PHOTOGRAPHERS

Do not like my picture taken and would not be having a photographer at all but my
fiance and his mother are insistent (and she is paying so ok) but I don't want her
to spend a lot.  I just want the basics, no fancy albums, one photographer approx
six hrs of coverage.  Any ideas????

I'm not sure what price point you are looking for, but we used Olivia Gird.  Neither of us like having our photo taken, but she was comforting and easy-going that it made it more relaxing.

I hate getting my pictures taken. My husband and I are just not very photogenic so we needed direction and guidance which our photographers helped us acheive. I believe wedding photography is important because after your wedding is over, that's what you have left - memories and you want the person behind the lens to be someone who's going to be there for all the wonderful moments. Aside from pricing, make sure you have chemistry with the photographer so you are all on the same page. I highly recommend Monika Rose Photography, she is pretty affordable and quite talented. I also love her personality!

Our engagement photographer (who will also be our wedding photographer once we sign the contract this week!) had a remarkable way of getting the most remarkable shots out of my fiance and I (and we are by no means models). I cannot suggest her enough. She's a little on the pricey side, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. We are using Tatiana Blanco www.tatianablancophotography.com Her rates are very reasonable and she is including an engagement shoot. We have not done the engagement shoot yet but I am pretty confident it will go fine and it will give us a chance to work together before the wedding. She is in Allston Ma but she has no issues coming to RI.

Prices are around 2500 for the day. He is totaly flexible on times you want him there.

I highly suggest Photography by Wendy Hewes! She and her team are AWESOME. We did our engagement photoshoot in October in downtown Providence and on a gondola ride! (it was soo nice and relaxing and made for such romantic pictures!) We will also be using her for my bridal shower in July and wedding in September. She has pricing right on her website, which was nice and convenient, and she is willing to work with you and your budget. 
Once you meet her and talk with her you can see that photography is truely her passion. Her office is in East Providence. My fiance can be camera shy, but her fun personailty helped to make the picture process so much easier and more relaxing - we truely got beautiful pictures that both of us were pleased with!
