DJ's under $1K

I'm having such a hard time deciding on a DJ! We have met with a few, but I'm so afraid to make a bad choice. The dancing is such an important part of a wedding and I'm terrified of making a decision. Plus we don't know many people in the RI area, so we can't use recomendations from friends.

So ladies..who do you recomend under $1K? We want someone that will keep the dance floor packed all night, but nothing cheesy like handing out props or party hats.

    Music Mixxers out of East Greenwich - $1,095. Not under, but barely over your budget! They did our wedding and were awesome!!!

    Were using Elite Entertainment and we love the owner/dj Kenny, he has such a professional yet fun vibe (completely without being corny). I believe the basic package is about $1,250. I know its a little over your budget but thought I would throw it out there!

    We are using Manny Cabral from All Occasion dj. He does dj-ing on the side and his price was great. $750 for 5 hours. He was personable and gives you have access to his website so you can make your own playlists. We didn't want to spend alot either and we feel he is a great find. I can give you his contact info if you're interested.

    DJ Valentina charges $900 for 4 hours - she is very sweet and will not make any announcements that you don't want and definitely nothing corny! :)

    We're going with Bill Bibeau from Rhythm Express.  He's $750 for 4 hours and was really personable on the phone!  We're also trying to avoid DJ's who are TOO interactive and cheesy :P
