I love the idea of having a string quartet play the music for our reception. I have never been to a wedding that has had live music - does anyone know how this would work? Who directs guests to the different events such as toasts, cake cutting, etc. as a DJ normally would?
The string quartet I am looking at has a classical repertoire. Can we still do the first dance, mother-groom/father-bride dances?
Any insight would be helpful! I have my heart set on a string quartet, but am having hard time visualizing the flow of the day as I have never been to an event with a string quartet.
