Can anyone recommend an affordable, reliable florist in the portsmouth/newport RI area? We are getting married at the Glen Manor House next June. I have heard good things about the Clements Market flower shop, but am hesitant... does anyone have any experience with them?

I went to Clements and I ended up going with Toni Chandler....I know we need to be careful with our comments but the customer service was lacking @ Clements.....I would definately recommend meeting with Clements but have other meetings with other florist  as well.

We're getting married in Narragansett in May and just booked Florals by Alisa:  http://www.floralsbyalisa.com/

They are based out of Barrington, RI but travel all over New England.  They were significantly cheaper than the other florists we were quoted by and their reviews on the bridal boards speak for themselves.  I am planning from California so I really need vendors that can get back to us quickly and answer all my questions via email since we'll only be in the area for 2 days this October and then not again until the week before our wedding.  Alllie and Lisa (the ladies behind Florals by Alisa) got back to me super quick and answered all of my questions plus offered some great suggestions.  We can't wait to meet with them next month and we are so grateful we found them.  Hope this helps and best of luck!

I also second Florals by Alisa, they are one of the budget friendly vendors and they are also very responsive. Toni Chandler is also an amazing florist, her work is so detailed and creative. Also, check out Golden Gate, Blooming Blossoms and even Whole Foods for a budget friendly option.

I'm using Christina Chandler at Studio 539. I prefer to work through email, and she's been fantastic. Her work is gorgeous, and I've been very happy with her so far.

I grew up in Portsmouth and my family and church have always used Carlone's Florist in Portsmouth. Carol is great to work with, lots of fun, and willing to work within your budget. She gets it!! She only does one event per day, too, so you know you'll get great service. They are by far cheaper than most florists on the island.

I also just booked Florals by Alisa for my wedding next July in Warwick.  They only do one wedding per day so I know that they will be focused on my wedding only on the big day.  Their prices are great and they are so sweet and very responsive!
