Castle Hill Inn

We went to go look at a few venues in Newport today, Regatta Place, The OceanCliff and The Castle Hill Inn.  The Castle Hill Inn was by far my favorite and they really wanted to work with us and our budget.  We let them know we are flexible and are open to a Thursday wedding.  It sounded like we could get a good amount of money off for having it mid week.  Just wondering if anyone else is using this venue or if they already had a wedding here and how it went.

    I've never been to a wedding there, but I've been there for functions and just dinner, since I live in Newport. I can vouch that you will not regret the decision to have it there. They're one of the top venues in Newport! And talk about style!
    That said, I'm getting married this Sunday (!!!!!!) and my reception is at Regatta Place. It's a totally different atmosphere than Castle Hill, but I've been super happy working with the folks there. Melanie is the greatest and so friendly. You'd have the same experience at OceanCliff (owned by the same umbrella company).

    Hi!! Thank you so much for the reply!  Funny you mentioned both of those places, last weekend I looked at Regatta, OceanCliff and Castle Hill Inn!!  Castle Hill Inn was by far my favorite, but regatta was second.  To be honest with you the prices for OceanCliff and Regatta didn't seem as negotiable as The Castle Hill Inn.  Also, the saleswoman I spoke with was very pushy and abrasive at OceanCliff.  I didn't care for her or her approach at all.  The woman at Castle Hill was extremely friendly and very willing to work with us and our budget.  I got a feeling of warmth there that I did not get at the other two places.  Also, we are probably going to do a Thursday wedding and most places will give you a big discount for doing that.

    Let me know how your reception at Regatta goes, and again Thanks for the reply!  I love having a local board on here!

    I heard castle hill is getting a totally different tent. Does anyone know the details?  I know it won't be white anymore.
