Ideas to involve a friend in the ceremony

I already have 7 bridesmaids and can't have anymore. I have a friend who I am very close with but I wouldn't say close enough to be a bridesmaid. I really want her to be involved in the ceremony in a special way. I've seen people have freinds do bible readings but we aren't super religious so I am not sure how that would be. Any ideas?

you could have her read a poem, or be an usher, or sing (if shes capable...)

You can have secular readings -- do a google search there's a ton out there!

Ditto and there are alot of fun readings out there that are appropriate and non-religious.
