Hi all, Has anyone out there gotten married at the ABC? I just looked at it and love it but I have a couple of concerns. One the ceremony is right next to a parking lot with lots of cars driving by. Was it distracting? Two my fiance is concerned because we're basically sharing the place with all of the restaurant patrons. My argument was that we would be in our own tent during cocktail hour and wouldn't have to mingle with anyone else. Any thoughts???

Is everything that you're planning going to be outside on the deck? I wasn't married there, but frequent ABC for dinner and was in a wedding that was in the upstairs ballroom.
As a patron of the dining area, I can tell you that generally people don't wander onto the deck if they see a function going on. It's pretty obvious, and people respect that. I wouldn't worry about that.
Being right next to the parking lot has its plusses and minuses. But the spots closest to the deck will get filled up first, so the traffic going by closer to the ceremony/party will be significantly less as time goes on. Also, you won't hear the cars over the sound of the crashing waves on the beach, only if someone honks their horn!

Incidentally, if you like overlooking the water like that and a tent atmosphere, you should check out Regatta Place on Goat Island. That's where we had our reception and it was amazing! They can also do the ceremony there.
