Does anyone have any recommendations for a  reasonably priced band in the RI area to play at my wedding??

I had Cover to Cover and they were amazing!  Frankie was very good with communication during the whole process and they rocked the tent from beginning to end.  I also hear great things about GQ and The Lady and World Premiere....good luck!

I am having Steve Anthony and the Persuasion, I think they are excellent and have horns as well.  They play at Twin River, 1149 and 1149 East (Seekonk, MA), so I would suggest going there and checking them out.  I believe they play almost every weekend.

They tend to start off with some older songs (as that's the crowd they have at these places), but after the 1st set it's all new, hip stuff and they do an excellent job of playing the songs.  I spoke w/ Steve and he is learning our wedding song and said he will play whatever we want, very flexible, so you don't have to worry about having old music all night, unless that's what you request.  I would def check him out and talk to him, he is an amazing emcee and gets the party going.

I used Image Band and was very happy with them. They were very professional and flexible. They play at Camille's in Providence and various other venues in RI and south eastern MA. I would defnitely recommend seeing them play.

We booked "Blockhead." Don't be scared by the name. They are a cover band that plays everything from country to Michael Jackson. They play at RiRa in Providence a lot and at the Pellham I'm Newport in the summer.

I also have seen MANY of the bands listed here. I suggest IMAGE Band. I have seen Cover to COver, GQ and Lady, Steve Anthony, but for the best band for all around music/variety and to get the crowd dancing. I also find them to be priced right. YOu don't want to clean out your wedding account on your band alone and many bands charge a lot more..., I recommend IMAGE! They are great, entertaining and will even learn a song for you. Try to go and see them on Friday, Feb 17th at Camilles in Providence (Federal Hill).  Also they are there on March 16th as well. We are getting a large group to go to Benjamins in Taunton MA on April 7th......we like to keep in touch and go see our friends/our wedding Band, Image !       (August 2008 Wedding) - L &M

Malloi is a fabulous band! The have been together for years and years and really know how to get the crowd going. Gaston and Kelley are the singers and they're great! They do a nice mix of older and newer songs. Highly recommend them!
