I am using Watersedge in Newport...my parents have used them for years and their work is gorgeous. I didn't shop around pricewise, but my dad thought it was really cheap compared to my brother's wedding.

I am using CC Floral Designs for my wedding. Carol work is so beautiful and she is very budget friendly.
  • Definitely check out Blooming Blossoms in Providence. We used them for our May wedding and used mostly probably 95 hydrangeas. Pam did a fabulous job with all of our bouquets, centerpieces, and church flowers. I think we got a lot of flowers for what we paid. Flowers weren't really my "thing" and I was in love with my bouquet!
  • Check out Frey Florist in Providence near PC. They did all of our flowers, were great to work with, and very budget friendly. I used a lot of hydrangeas in my bouquets and arrangements.

  • I am using Polly Hutchinson at robin hollow farms....her prices were great, and she has such a wonderful upbeat personality....as a bonus I think, she grows all of her own flowers, so I like the idea of giving back to a truly local business :
  • Polly does grow her own flowers, which is why I didn't hesitate to book her! I cannot wait to see her creations, she does such a wonderful job and her prices are very reasonable.

  • I live in CT (right across the RI line).  My ceremony is in CT and my reception is in RI.  We are using the Sunshine Shop in Dayville, CT.  She does work in RI as well.  The contact is Betty Merrow and she really surprised me with innovative affordable designs.  We are also using hydrangea (blue and green color combos) and I thought her ideas and prices were excellent.

  • i met with polly, and although her work and product is beautiful - I didn't care for her. something about us just didn't click.
i am using The Secret Garden in Jamestown. the owner is a nice guy, young, who will work with any budget. his work is great and different. also has good suggestions but looks for you to decide on a general color scheme. he works with hydrangeas a lot - they are in a lot of his pics.
  • Try Joy from Flowerthyme. She in south county and does beautiful work. Not sure about budget though...
  • I'm using flowers by Alisa in Barrington.  She works from home so doesn't have high over head costs.
  • Florals by Alisa is by far one of the most budget friendly florists. They don't have a high overhead because they work out of their home. They do charge for sample mock ups. Someone else mentioned Pam from Blooming Blossom and Polly from Robin Hollow's Farm, both do ah-mazing work and will work with any budget. Lastly, for the bride who knows exactly what she wants, Whole Foods Florists can deliver beautiful floral creations for a lot less than most independent florists. Again, they don't have a high overhead.
  • Thank you for the the recommendations!  My parents and I will check into all of these and see what we can do!  I just never realized how much a simple thing like the flowers could be lol
  • I just booked Elaine's Flowers in north smithfield. She said my budget of 800 was very doable, though I had some other florists turn me down right away when I said that. Her delivery charge was reasonable and was even cheaper than stop and shop, but both of those places were helpful and inexpensive compared to other florists
  • Check out Golden Gate out of Cranston. Jay was amazing to work with, had very fair pricing, and gorgeous selection of in-season flowers.
