Gown Stores?

Hi!
I was planning on going to Ana's Bridal Shop in East Providence for my wedding gown, as two of my good friends have had good experiences there. Does anyone have any thoughts? Or, thoughts for different places to go?
Thanks!

Helene's Bridal Shop & Tux in East Providence, Party Dress Express in Fall River, Alexandra's in Fall River and you might want to check out the new Alfred Angelo boutique that is opening in North Attleboro (you can save tons of moolah at their grand opening this weekend)

i got my dress at ana's. well, i should say i ordered it there, it hasn't come in yet. you will read a lot of negative experiences with them if you search on this board. when i was there they were very nice to me and you get a discount if you buy a dress on your first visit (which i did, not for the discount, but because they had the perfect dress for me!). they have a great selection. i will have to see how the rest of the experience goes but so far i am pleased!

I cannot say enough good things about Alexandra's Bridal.  Carol pretty much picked out my dress and she pulled my bridesmaid dresses all by herself!  She even called to let me know they were having a sale so my girls could get free alterations.

I didn't have a good experience when I went dress shopping with a friend at Ana's.  They were rude and lifeless.

I like Erina's in East Greenwich.  They were nice and had great dresses and aren't $$$.

I purchased my gown at Cinderella's as well and I agree Scott is fabulous.  HOWEVER if I were to do it over I would go elsewhere. (This was my experience so I don't want to offend anyone but feel I need to share.) After I purchased my dress they couldn't have been ruder.  I recommended 3 of my friends to go there to get their wedding dresses plus I purchased my BM dresses there as well so I feel I gave Scott alot of business.  The few times I called to make appointments for fittings they were rushed and rude.  When I went for fittings they were rude.  They ordered the wrong veil for me and when I pointed it out they were so rude and told me I owned it. I called Scott to let him know how disappointed I was and he could care less. Needless to say I took my gown and veil and just dealt with the seamstress from that point forward.

I also purchased my gown at Ana's. She was a little strict and to the point. But I was able to find my perfect dress and it was the first one I tried on!
I was happier at Ana's than I was at Davids Bridal.

I purchased my gown at The Bridal Shoppe on Warwick Ave.  I ended up buying the second dress Donna pulled for me.  She has a great eye and really spends time with you to make sure the fit is perfect before showing everyone.  Couldn't be happier with her patience and attention to detail. And... I just got the call yesterday trhat my dress is in!!

I have no experience with Ana's, but I love my experience at Alexandria's in Fall River, MA, Allegria Bridal in Belmont, MA & La'Reine in Waltham, MA.

I have been to Ana's, Davids in Warwick (which was better than the one in Attleboro). Customer service for Davids I think depends on where you go. I have been to the Wishing Well,  and Helene's. My best experience has been at Wishing Well.

Bought my dress (and every prom dress I've ever owned) at Party Dress Express in Fall River.

Now that they've moved they have an even larger selection and always a great deal going on...

20% off your dress OR free alterations.

I went with the alterations :)

I actually did not have a good experience at Ana's.  They were very pushy and were pressuring me to buy a gown I liked that day.  I found my dress at Helene's in E. Providence.  The service, selection, and prices were all great.  Good luck!

I bought my dress from a dressmaker in Maine, but I wanted to chime in and say I went to Cinderella's to see my friend's dress and try on bridesmaid dresses we had a lot of fun and did not find anyone to be rude or pushing us to hurry - very helpful and didn't make us feel like we had to decide that day  :)

The Bridal Garden in EG has been excellent.  I used them for a non-wedding dress last year and I am using them again this year for my wedding dress.  The women who work their are great, so patient and helpful.  I have gone in to try my dress on kind of just for fun several times, and never have they made me feel rushed or unwelcome or anything of the sort.  I have had a great experience there.

I ended up buying my gown at NY Lace in Tauton, MA, Fostina was my consultant and she is AMAZING!!!  She really "got" what I wanted and is making changes to my dress to make it exactly what I was looking for.  But ... I had great experiences at The Bridal Garden in East Greenwich (I will probably get my girls dresses here), The Wishing Well in East Providence, and Helene's in East Providence ... Yes, it took me forever to find a dress!!  I didn't go to Ana's because last year when we were looking for my sister, they were really rude when we went there so there was no way I would have gone there.  I did go to Cinderella's and the lady was really pushy and tried to force a dress on me, like that it was exactly what I was describing, so glad I didn't fall for it looking back at the pictures!  Good Luck!

I bought my dress at Alfred Angelo store on RT.1 N. Attleboro. They have the most well made and beautiful dresses I have see around here and their staff is awesome and super nice. I worked with Lauren and she never pressured me to buy a dress from them. She made sure I was happy and she listened to the styles I liked.  I have been to a lot of bridal stores but alfred angelo was the nicesest and most affordable!!
