Room Blocks in Newport

So I am starting to look into room blocks for my wedding, as all of my guests are from out of town.  Can anyone recommend any hotels.  I am getting married on Goat Island in Newport.  I have called the Hyatt, which is by far the closest, but want to provide a few hotel options at different price points.  Any suggestions would be helpful!  Thanks!

Call the Marriot, they also have Residence Inn and Courtyard by Marriot (which I booked for $150 for a Sunday Night). I also like Hotel Viking for the high end and the Hampton Inn for a budget friendly option.

We were also married on Goat Island and we had room blocks at the Hyatt, Newport Beach Hotel and Suites and the Quality Inn by first beach.  Our guests only booked at the Hyatt because of convenience to our wedding venue. The Hyatt was very flexible about adding additional rooms to our room block as we got closer to our wedding date.

what budget do you want to stay in for your guests? I stayed at the oceancliff resort as a bridesmaid but I know it was kind of pricey

hi there... what is your wedding date?  just an fyi - the hyatt requires a 2-night stay of your guests and also requires that you use one of their "function" rooms in order to secure a room block.  not necessarily a bad thing, but just an fyi.  We did a room block at the Holiday Inn Express in Middletown (about a t-8 min drive into Newport) for folks on a tighter budget.  My fiance and I even stayed there on a recent trip just to get a feel for it and it was perfectly fine - no frills, but sufficient for a decent night of sleep.  You may also consider Pelham Court Hotel - absolutely beautiful, all suite rooms.  Most of my family is staying there for our upcoming wedding (in May).  They don't do a traditional room block unless you book up front, but they will offer 10% off room price for your guests if they call in and mention your wedding; rooms then are on first come, first served basis.  Hotel Viking is also nice, but not sure how they do room blocks.  I've also heard great things about 41 North (a bit pricey though), but we don't have a block there as they were sold out the weekend of our event.  I also just found Mill Street Inn - newly done, all rooms are suites.  Looks nice, but again, not sure about room blocks.

My friend got married at Oceancliff last year...we weren't able to get any room blocks in Newport but got a great deal at the Hampton Inn over in Middletown, it's just across the line. Great place and they treated us great.
