sos! new photographer needed!! help!

Hi Ladies,
My wedding has been scheduled for 7/24/2010, and all of our vendors were lined up.  Suddenly, the city planned a huge mardi gras kind of loud party right next to our venue.  My ceremony and reception were supposed to be outside, and now there would be no hope of even hearing the "I Do's" due to this concert/party with thousands of people.
The venue kindly let us switch our date, we contacted the bridal party and all of our vendors, and everyone except our photographer were able to now do it 8/7/2010.
I already sent out the save the dates, and am having a hard time wrapping my mind around a new date at such a late time, but I know that I will get used to it.  However, I need a new photographer, and I'm so nervous.
We like photojournalistic style, do not need an engagement photo shoot, and would like to stay in the area of $1800.
Do any of you have good recommendations?  I'm in a serious bind, and knew I just needed to come on these boards and ask for help.
Thanks a million!

I'm using Kevin Trimmer, based out of Providence. His lowest package is $2,200 but includes allll day coverage (he said he would be there 12 hrs if we wanted). We wanted photojournalistic style too- hate those cheesy posed pics and who wants to miss their whole cocktail hour, right? Anyway, he seems young and hip but experienced. Check him out- I think it would be worth the $400 extra bucks.

I am glad you were able to change your date and still be able to work with most of your vendors.  Better that you found out now about the event rather than the day of your wedding.  I agree with the PP as well as you might want to check out http://www.johnlophoto.com/

    GL with your planning.  :)

You should check out Mandy Mayberry, she offers full day coverage at $850. Plus her images are stunning for the value you pay for her services. Check her out.

I used Bob Perachio who has photojournalistic style.  I think he is a bit out of your price range but he is wonderful to work with.  Check him out at elegantbliss.com   Good luck.

Check out Matt Ellsworth!  He will shoot as long as you want - you have him for the day - and does great work!  You can check out his wedding work on the following site...  www.pbase.com/mellsworth1967/weddings" target="_blank">http://www.pbase.com/mellsworth1967/weddings

And he's under $1000...  I personally think he doesn't charge enough, but perfect when on a budget!  And he can give you all of your pictures on a CD if you want.  You can also email him at matt@ellsworthphotography.com or call him at (401) 829-3106.

    It's worth talking with him!

Im using Sean William's Videography. All day photo and video coverage is $1499 for Video and photo. My cousin used him last year and the video came out great. He is building his portfolio and is offering cheap deals.
