Hi Ladies, I never posted a lot while i was planning my wedding but i did always love to read the reviews. I always thought they were so helpful, so i decided to put a post up with all the reviews for the vendors i used for my Newport wedding. I hope it helps!
Ceremony & Reception Venue - Hotel Viking, A+
I really loved the feel of the Hotel Viking and the Kay Chapel is just absolutely gorgeous. Linda, my main contact was amazing. She was quick to respond to all my questions and really made all of the planning go really smoothly. The food was so great and the room was beautiful. You may not have an ocean view but the service you receive and the quality of food make up for that.
Photographer - Zev Fisher Photography, A+
I absolutely love my photographer! Zev was so great to work with. Him and his assistant are with you from start to finish the day of the wedding and his pictures are just amazing. He was super easy to communicate with and is really passionate about photography. He really made you feel at ease when taking pictures.
Florist - Golden Gate Studios, A+
Everyone at Golden Gate is great to work with. I sent them a picture of the bouquet i wanted for myself and they were able to duplicate the exact one. The prices are reasonable and you definitely get great value for your money.
DJ - Luke's DJ Service, A+
Our DJ was Luke B.(the father) He was really great to work with. He really understood how important it was that everyone at our reception was up and dancing the whole time. He is great at reading the crowd and he knows if a certain type of music is not working. He is also extremely knowledgeable about the industry.
Hair - Sam C, A+
Sam C was so amazing to work with. Our ceremony was starting at 4pm and she arrived at our room at 10:30am. I was having my hair done along with my 3 bridesmaids and my mom. She did not leave my room until at least 3:30, after she assisted with my veil. She really is a great value for what she charges. She did such a great job that my hair was still looking great the next day. I would highly recommend her services.
Make-up - Sienna Iannelli, B+
I am really happy with the outcome of my makeup. I'm not someone who wears tons of make-up so i was nervous when getting my make-up done that it would not look like me. Sienna did a great job and it lasted all day. My only complaint is that my ceremony was at 4pm and she showed up at 9:45 and left by 11:15am. I just thought this was a little too early to have all of our make-up done. it also felt like she had somewhere else to be and just wanted to get our makeup completed. However she did a great job and was very sweet.
Transportation - Prestige Limo, B+
Everything went smoothly with our transportation. We had our ceremony and reception in the same place so the only time we really went anywhere was to take pictures. The limo was on time and we had no problems, however my only complaint was that there was no champagne in the limo. After the ceremony we were really excited and got into the limo to get pictures and no champagne
Apparently there is a new law in RI which prohibits champagne in the limo, however i'm not living in RI and was not told. Plus if you go to there website they still list it as something they provide for wedding services.
Day of Coordinator - Infinite Events, Meredith Dunn, A+
I loved my coordinator! Meredith is so great to work with and she gets things done. She was so easy to communicate with and took care of all the details the day of. We had nothing to worry about and everything went so smoothly. I highly recommend using a DOC. I worked closely with her the week following up to the wedding and she was able to handle all of my last minute concerns and requests.
Ceremony Musician, Matt Kearns, A+
Matt was great. We received a lot of compliments from guests about his music. The guitar was a great addition to our ceremony and cocktail hour
