Castle Hill Brides

To any castle hill brides who have already had their weddings, or have had their date night already --

I'm a little bit nervous about the fact that we have to pre-choose the hors d'oeuvres and entrees before we get to try them - do you have any recommendations?

Also, when you go for the date night and try the food, can you change your selections if you don't like them?

Thanks!!

Re: Castle Hill Brides

  • Hi!  I am a Castle Hill bride!  I have not had my wedding yet, it will be Sept. 13th.  When is yours?  I am almost positive you can change your food selection.  When you wrote up the contract that was just for the minimum dollar amount you need to spend.  It cannot go down in price, but if you add more people or change the food the price just gets adjusted.  I beleive date night is held in February?  Who is your event coordinator?  I had delt with Ryan, but now I am supossed to deal with Rebecca.  She has not gotten in touch with me yet and said she would right after the new year.. I am patiently waiting and if she doesn't get in touch with my by Tuesday I will be calling up Ryan and complaining.  This woman was supposed to call me before Friday!  Grr!
  • Hi! Our wedding is June 2 and coming up so fast! Rebecca only contacted me about 3 weeks ago, so I wouldn't worry quite yet - I am sure that they probably contact brides in order of their wedding dates, but I was getting anxious too!  I am sure you are right about being able to change the menu, but I wish they had a more traditional food tasting where you were able to taste everything...oh well! I will let you know how our date night goes, and what foods were the best :)
  • Oh, wow she just got in touch with you for your June wedding?  I just really wanted to set up a hotel block at Castle Hill and Ryan said Rebecca was the one to do that with. I understand there are a lot of weddings and brides to deal with but I want to be able to have someone I know I can get in touch with easily.  Was she at least extremely friendly?

  • When is your date night and what entrees were you thinking about?  I think we are going with the salmon and the chicken.  I would do a red meat, but they are SO expensive.  How many guests are you having? Ours is very small, about 50 people.
  • She was definitely friendly, and I'm sure she will be easy to work with - if she doesn't get in touch with you by friday, just give her a call!  Our date night hasn't been set yet but I'm meeting with Rebecca and Joslin this friday for my details appointment and I'm gonna set up the date night then.  Our wedding is going to be pretty big - about 185 people so I hear you on the expenses!  We did decide to go with the chicken and the beef tenderloin though because my fiance and his family aren't big on seafood.  I'm sure all of the entrees will be excellent though! It was more difficult to decide on the hors d'oeuvres because there are so many and we can only pick 4!
  • Nothing from Rebecca today.  My fiance said give her til Thursday and if not he is going to send an email to Ryan telling her we aren't happy about the situation.  Yes, I could call her... but it's the principle.
