Anyone familiar with Castle Hill

I am getting married here soon and I am wondering if I should decorate the arbor that they have for the outdoor ceremony.  If I have the florist do it, it will cost an arm and a leg but she said she can wire flowers for me and I will be able to have someone help me put them up by ourselves.  For those of you who have seen it, what do you think?  Some brides chose to leave it as is (there is some greenery around it) and others decorate it.

Re: Anyone familiar with Castle Hill

  • I think its worth it to decorate it.  Did you try contacting whole foods? I think a small job like that would work perfectly for them...they do a great job!
  • Yes.  I am using whole foods for my florist.  However for them to decorate the arbor would be rather expensive, but they are going to wire hook the flowers for me and I will be able to put them up myself with some help from my maid of honor (who already said she would help)  The flowers will still cost a good amount, that is why I wanted to make sure that it was worth it.
  • How much is it going to cost? i don't know if it worth it then, I didn't know you were going to put them up yourself.  Are you planning on doing this before the wedding day or the day of?  If the day of, then I think it will cause unnecessary stress for you on your special day.

  • The morning of....but my ceremony isn't until 5:30pm.  I also have people willing to help.. if not do it all on their own. I have to go back into the contract but it was maybe around 200?
  • I think if others could do it, then I would take them up on the offer but I don't think it is worth it to have to go there yourself.  However, go with what matters to you..if you really want it and don't mind going there then go for it!  Did you ask Castle hill if they would mind having somewhere there doing it?  It doesn't hurt to ask them!
  • Just so you know, the arbor at CH currently has pretty orange flowers growing on it.  Almost like orange morning glories.  Really pretty, so you might be able to get away with it on it's own.  In years past, it's been plain greenery.

Really?!  Thank you SO much for telling me... I really wanted some color but if there is already flowers on it that saves me time and money.
