Overwhelmed..24 days to go

This is just a "vent" post...my wedding is in 24 days!!

We are trying to settle into our new house that we spent the last 2 months renovating...my bachelorette is this Saturday and I have NO outfit to wear yet...I still have programs and place cards to make and all the little printed details to go in various places...I DID order our photo guest book through Blurb - can't wait to see it! I don't have a bracelet or clutch to wear...haven't shopping for honeymoon bathing suits yet...still have to buy groomsmen socks...I am just so...overwhelmed...we have final vendor payments to make and final details to convey to each one... ahhhh

Sorry I've been MIA...lots of stuff happening lately!

Oh and we forgot to get our marriage license on Friday when we both had the day off...we were so busy doing other things!

Don't stress yourself out too much. Just take it one item at a time. Thats what I did. We have been married for 16 days, and trust me these are the days that you want to slow down. Before you know it everything willl be all over and your questioning- now what?

You'll do fine. It sounds like your right on the same track I was when I was at that stage. Everyone will work out- just breathe Laughing

    Happy planning!

I totally agree! The week before the wedding was a bit chaotic. I would see if you can ask someone to help with some of the details (ask one of the groomsmen to buy the socks).

I wanted to print our programs at home, but at about a week to go, I just threw my hands up in the air and took them to Kinkos to be printed out. I also wanted to hand write place cards, but I decided to print them instead. I just had to accept that I couldn't feasibly do all the things I wanted to do on my own and that's completely okay.

Everyone feels a little looney in those days leading up to the wedding. Just do what you can when you can and accept that you have to adjust a bit.

I am taking it one day at a time. I still have two DIY projects and a number of details to pull together but I feel they will all get done and if they don't, I doubt anyone else but me will notice. I am trying to just stay sane because my in-laws and other family will be arriving soon (half my guest list is oot). So getting the house ready and making payments as we go along is part of the process.

It is so hard not to, but don't stress out too terribly much, everything will come together beautifully!  Make yourself a 'to-do list' each day (helps me remember stuff, I have been forgetting everything the past week) and don't be afraid to ask for help!  Best Wishes to you both!

I took the whole week off before, too, and thank goodness I did. I was sick, though, and ended up deciding to let some things (namely programs) go because I just didn't have the time or energy to do it. I simplified other things (table numbers) and had to put out some other fires that week, too.

I was sick for two weeks before and more than a month after the wedding - didn't get out of bed for six of those days - and it took two courses of antibiotics and a course of steroids and I still didn't really feel better until the week of Christmas. So try to rest up and not burn yourself out!

It'll all get done, and if it doesn't, few but you will know! Enjoy the last few weeks; they fly by. Laughing
