Photographer recommendations for Newport

Hi Ladies,

I don't usually post on this board, but one of my good friends is getting married June 17th at the Castle Hill in Newport and she's still searching for a photographer. She is looking to stay around or under $2500.

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!!

Hi there! my cousin used Armor and Martel out of Portsmouth this past weekend and they were FABULOUS!!!!  Jennifer Leatherwood also does some amazing work.  Good luck!

We loved working with our photographer, Melissa Robotti. I think she might be a little out of that range now (she has raised her rates since we booked last year) but she's great and she actually just posted a wedding she shot at Castle Hill on her blog. We loved our photographers Gabrielle Marks and her husband Matt and they have a few packages in that price range.  We've received so many compliments on photos we've seen so far.  All info is on her website at www.gabriellemarksphotography.com.

I too am in the search for a photographer in Newport.  I was rreferred to check out  Gabrille Marks..... her prices online seem very reasonable and think the photo's she has posted on her blog or gorgeous.  Maybe look further into her.... hope this helps.

We're almost 100% using Cailtin Maloney.
She is never mentioned on this board, but her stuff is REALLY beautiful.
I like Melissa Robottis style but her prices have nearly doubled, and her packages are around 4,000 bucks---

Cailtlin has the same style and her photos are around 2200 for all day and an assistant. She also has a great lil studio...

I feared mentioning her on theknot since we havent signed yet and I want to be sure to lock in with her-- haha

I also spoke with Gabrille Marks and Mandy Mayberry.
Finally I am meeting with Mia Campopiano.

Jennifer Leatherwood and Melissa Robotti rates are well over the 4 grand range. Try Blue Flash photography and Kevin Trimmer, they have packages in that price range. I also like Mandy Mayberry too

Blue Flash just went up in price to $3,200, but I still love their work.

Also, last year there was a new photographer whose work I was admiring but she was so new that I was a little worried to entrust the wedding to her. However, in the past year, she's really grown and I've been really impressed and I think she would have been great at our wedding. Here's her blog: http://mollyannesphotos.net/ You might have to scroll a little to find weddings, as she's done all kinds of work lately.

(And I just have to add that I'm so thankful to have booked MR when her rates were in the $2,000s! We could never have afforded $4K.)

</div><div>I don't understand why new photographers are so quick to hike up their prices. I understand MR because she's kept her rates relatively in the same ball park for years. Her work is definitely in the 4k range. I like Blueflash too but 3,200? I hope that comes with an album.</div><div>
