Shoes

Hi Ladies-
Anyone have suggestions for buying your wedding shoes locally? My dress fitting is 2 weeks and im trying to get my shoes. Figure sandals or peep toes. I love the sparkly shoes or bright colored but the main thing is the heel has to be low. Perferably wedge or small heel 1 to 1 1/2 inch is ideal. Ive checked dsw. I have an appt at Dainty (something) on Saturday in Cranston and was thinking of trying shoes to dye for in natick.

Re: Shoes

  •  I am wearing low peephole shoes. I am not doing white or ivory but a fun color, maybe blue. I have looked at Nordstrum and Macy's which I though both had great choices. I agree totally on the low heel or wedge. You will be so much more comfortable and you really only see the tip of the shoes. HTH.

I just went to Shoes to Dye For this past weekend and I was blown away!!  They have soo many shoes!  But call ahead first, they don't carry every style and size, so if you call ahead they will get it from their warehouse and have it waiting for you to try on (takes 24 hrs for the selections to come in).  They also do the dying there in any color of your choice, you only need a swatch, takes about 5-7 days they said, but can do rush.  I'm telling you they have every type of shoe and can even do add-ons, like rhinestones, brooches.  I would say check it out just to get ideas if nothing else.

  • I got mine at Payless. I'm not even kidding you! They come in Wides which I NEED, they have their formal collection that are all dyable, and quite a selection! Check them out. I think I paid $50 for mine. Even better part was when the ivory satin got a little mark on it sitting in my closet, they rush replaced them free of charge!! I was so happy with them.

  • I got 2 pairs of shoes one from Piperlime.com because they were on clearance for $30 and really pretty and some fun sliver sparkely ones from DSW that cost me $40.

  • I wore three different pairs of shoes on my wedding day, I got my formal shoes at Erina's in East Greenwich for the Cambodian wedding. They are Coloriffics Carmen in a low heel (2 inch), my other two shoes including the white sparkly sandals for the beach ceremony and J. Renee Rosina were from Zappos. They were the most enchanted shoes I wore! Super comfy and perfect heel height.

  • I couldn't find anything locally so I ordered 5 pairs from Zappos.com & returned the ones I didn't want (it's free shipping on returns & you have a year to do it).
