So my FI's daughter (from his previous marriage) goes to school across the state (6 hours away) and is graduating in June so we're in the process of getting a hotel room and making plans to go over to see the ceremony. FIL's want to ride over with us, which I don't want to do because 1. they are bringing their dog (who is very old and very sick and requires stops hourly on car rides because he has poor bladder control), 2. I'm allergic to dogs, and 3. FI and both work the day we're leaving, so we're going to drive over late night, and probably won't get into Spokane until midnight or even later possibly and I know that FIL's will be throwing a fit wanting to leave earlier than we plan and think I can just leave work whenever I want to go somewhere. And, they want to share a hotel room with me and FI, which I also am not crazy about. FI wants me to call them and tell them that we're not going to ride over with them or share a room, but I think he should, since they are his parents and he apparently didn't disagree with his mom when she concocted this plan. WWYD? Maybe I'm being a huge biotch about the whole thing, but I don't think I can handle a 6 (probably with them it would be closer to 7 or 8) hour car ride with a dog that I'm allergic to. Leaving the dog home isn't an option for them, they absolutely won't do it.
