a little bit of a rant....
One thing I decided from the get-go was that I want a coordinator for the rehearsal and wedding, but I don't have room in budget. I went to USC and did the Hospitality program where there were TONS of girls just dying to get into the wedding business. When I was there people would just email the department about opportunities and they would be sent out over the listserve. I figured it would be no problem to find a junior/senior who wanted wedding experience. First I emailed the wedding instructor there. She never emailed me back.... for like 2 months. So then I contacted the woman who sent things out over the listserve when I was there. She emailed me back within 5 minutes because OF COURSE there are a ton of students who would be interested in this! BUT she doesn't do it anymore. She copied on the wedding professor AND the new person who does the listserve. I NEVER HEARD FROM EITHER OF THEM. I have sent TWO follow up emails to EACH of them. STILL NOTHING. Now finals are over and students aren't really checking their school email, so even if I do finally get a response I doubt I'll hear from a student before August.
I'm just really irritated. And now I'm starting to panic and search for "real" coordinators even though that's not what I really want.
Any knotties in the Upstate that want to do my wedding? lol. just kidding. But really, I don't want to find someone on craigslist and I don't want to go above my budget. Boo.
Oh and also, Chaunte's wedding is next weekend everyone!
