NWR: Greenville- where to live?

Hi! We may be relocating from Charlotte to Greenville, SC after wedding for FI's job. FI has family that grew up near Wade-Hampton, but I know nothing about Greenville past that.

I am interested in any recs on the areas to live in. Surely downtown would be fun; I've also heard that Simpsonville is "young and stuff going on". Any help is appreciated!!

I was going to recommend Simpsonville... Really anywhere is great though! Love Greenville!

We're actually trying to relocate there from Houston right now...

I used to live in the area.  I moved to the lower part of the State for work.  I like Greer and Taylors Area.  I dont know if you are planning to buy a house or rent. But if you buy a house, Property taxes are cheaper in Taylors, because it is not considered as a city so you would not have to pay city and county taxes. Its still close to Greenville.  Just a thought.  Good luck with your search.

I agree with PPs that the whole area's fantastic. But you may get more for your money if you branch out into Greer, Taylors, Simpsonville, etc. Good luck!

Taylors is wonderful because it's really close to everything.
