I would say it depends. I'm opting for no church because of the immense diversity of religious denominations within my and my fiance's family. We've parents that are Roman Catholic, Pentacostal, Baptist and Jewish. So we felt that using a church might make one or more parents feel left out.

As to where, Cola has a lot of wonderful historic homes with beautiful lawns and gardens. I myself am opting to The Lace House and its gardens. \

    When are you getting married?

I churched. At first we weren't going to but then I started thinking about the meaning behind the ceremony itself. Also we didn't want to have to worry about an outside wedding in May. So, after a lot of searching, we chose Greene Street UMC across from the Koger Center.
