Hey Ladies!

I read this board every day but I mostly post on other boards because there isn't much going on here... It seems like most of the other boards are doing intros to get people more involved. Do y'all want to do that? Basically you just comment on here with whatever info you want to give, such as....

I'll even start...

-Kayleigh & Bryan

-We met online (shhh, don't tell) after I moved across the country for a new job. I was NOT looking for a relationship but I needed a way to meet people other than work. The rest is history.

-We live in Houston but I grew up in SC and went to college at USC. Our wedding is in Pendleton which is right by Clemson.

-Our date was set for May 21, 2011, but we decided we REALLY wanted to do it in the fall so we pushed it back. Because of our venue's location we have to wait for the football schedule to come out before we can finalize our date, but tentatively it's October 22, 2011.

-We are using The Woodburn for both ceremony and reception.

-So far we have only committed to The Woodburn and our photographer Rebecca Perkins. She is fabulous and we can't wait to work with her! We had our engagements done by a photographer in Austin, TX.

-Colors.... we're channeling fall right now! lots of brown and ivory, with pops of burnt orange, deep plum, and dark reds

-for inspiration pics I have too many! I'm working on a new inspiration board since we moved our date.

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc.: We met over the phone it was very funny! My friend was talking to his room mate and he got on the phone and started talking with a scottish accent and I had to talk to him! So ever since we have been very close! He proposed to me at Sulivans Island at dusk between the light house and the water! I said yes before he could even finish!

-city, if you actually live in SC: I am having my wedding in the mb area and I live out in the boone docks in gal. ferry.

-wedding date: 9/24/2010 I hope hehe

-venue(s): dont have one picked out yet my budget is really really tight. But checked out sea watch resort. And it was very nice.

Yep - The SC board is a little slow but here goes...

Met? Proposal? We met through a friend. He went out with her a few times but she decided to get back with her ex. She introduced us and before we knew it we were dating/getting married. He proposed on the beach in Edisto, SC on 9.30.09.

Where we live? The upstate

Wedding Date? 10/9/2010  (We got married 3 weeks and a few days ago )

-name & finance's name- Victoria and Brentley-how y'all met- We met at church-city, if you actually live in SC- Myrtle Beach. Well, technically we live in Conway.-wedding date- March 5, 2011. Right at 4 months away.. ahh its coming so fast!!-venue(s)- Getting married at Trinity United Methodist and reception at the old peanut warehouse-wedding colors- Blue and yellow-an engagement pic/bridal portrait- still waiting to get our engagement pics back. can I ask what the rental fee and package were?

Thank you! I love it too! The inside is also really pretty and unique! 

The fee is $600 and that includes the dance floor. 

If it is as clean when we are finished as it was when we got it we get $100 back.

So..its really costing us $500

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc.: We met here in Myrtle Beach at a bar, haha, and he proposed 6 months later when we randomly went to the beach lol. We both love being funny and goofy. I love yoga, he loves playing the guitar
-city, if you actually live in SC: We live in Myrtle Beach, but fiance is from Michigan(we are moving there after we get married) and came down here to lifeguard last summer (when we met:)), and I from Greenville, SC; graduated from CCU in 07'

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc.: We actually met online like 6 years ago and finally met in person 2 years ago. We got engaged last August on a cruise to the western caribbean. We both love sports ...I'm a huge Gamecock Fan (USC C/o 2007) and Dave is a big Tennessee Vols fans.

-city, if you actually live in SC: I'm orginally from Columbia and Dave is from Mephis, TN -- we both now live in the Charleston-area (Summerville)

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc.: We initially met at the Greenville airport when my boss sent him to pick me up for my interview, so technically he's the first person I met in South Carolina. :-) I moved out there about a month of so later, but we didn't start hanging out until Fall for Greenville when alcohol and co-workers started pushing us together (radio's such an odd industry).

-city, if you actually live in SC: We just moved to Missouri from Greenville about a month a half ago. Planning's about to get interesting. :-)

-wedding date: 9/4/2011

-venue(s): We're doing the ceremony and reception at the Upcountry History Museum

-vendors (with reviews if you want): So far we've booked the museum (love it), Blue Mountain Photography (super flexible), Life of the Party DJ (fantastic), and Bagatelle Caterers (Francois is hilarious and amazing!)

-wedding colors: Brown, wine/burgunday, dark marine blue, ivory

-an engagement pic/bridal portrait: I actually swapped 2 parents' albums for the bridal portrait, but I'm hoping we'll get to do engagement pics soon! Of course, that requires more than a 2 day trip back to Greenville. . . .

-name & finance's name: I'm Katie and my sweetie is Logan.

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc: We met at our college, North Greenville University. Any of yall heard of it? We met freshman year and we're now juniors. I am a early childhood major and he is a christian studies major. We're not technically engaged yet but we do plan on getting married. We started talking about it last year and decided we didn't want a super long engagement. But we know we're getting married and we've already planned alot of wedding stuff, just no ring! But I have a feeling the ring is coming soon!

-city, if you actually live in SC: I was born here but grew up in New England but now I am back for school in the Greenville area.

-wedding date: Not sure. We're thinking either January or May of 2012.

-venue(s): We want to get married in myrtle beach. We're thinking about renting a beach house and having both the ceremony and reception there but things are totally up in the air at this point.

-wedding colors: various shades of pink and navy blue

and Yep....the J-School is in the bottom of the coliseum... i spent plenty of time and late nights in that creppy building

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc., we met our freshman year of highschool, he was in my english and literature class, my "friend" actually outed me to him that I liked him and he just asked me out right then and there (it took me till the end of the day to say yes =]); Jeremy proposed to me just 7 months ago, and now 7 months to go!

-city, if you actually live in SC, our home is Greenville but we go to school in Charlotte, and the wedding will be in Anderson

-venue(s), Ceremony and reception at the Bleckley Inn, it is a gorgeous place and very inexpensive, and a really easy, inviting, helpful place.

-how y'all met, proposal, what you love, etc. - I had just moved back to the Columbia area for a job, and had called a friend from college to hang out.  Jason played live trivia every week and I began going to hang out, and another friend from college came and hung out with us.  Todd began to bring his friends, one of which turned out to be the love of my life!  Mitch proposed to me right after we had concluded our offline fantasy football draft, in front of a lot of our friends. 
-city, if you actually live in SC - Columbia
-wedding date - April 15 2011 (yes, we know it's tax day.  we originally planned on the 16th, but the venue was booked for every saturday for most of the year)
-venue(s) - Pine Island (Lake Murray).  The wedding will be outside by the lake, with the reception being inside the clubhouse
-vendors (with reviews if you want) - Our florist is Rose's Flowers and Gifts, no idea how things will look, but Carla (the florist) was awesome to work with so far.  Our photographer is Picasso Perfect (he happens to be another college friend of mine!), and so far we're happy with him, too!
-wedding colors - With both of us going to USC and huge fans of all things Gamecocks, our colors are garnet and black

-how y'all met, proposal: We met online, although most people don't know that. I had just gotten out of a really bad relationship with my son's father when Joe came along, I really wasn't looking for anything serious at the time but for the first time ever, he showed me that not all guys are the same and I knew I couldn't let him get away. After 1 year and 7 months of dating, he proposed on the beach in Oak Island.

-city, if you actually live in SC: I live in Rock Hill. He lives in Monroe, NC.

-wedding date: April 27, 2013. It's so far away but financially it's the best thing for us right now.

I'm just starting this whole process and even though we aren't getting married until 2013, I'm a planner so I feel like it's never too early to start looking around and getting ideas. Hopefully it will cause a little less stress once the time gets closer.
