I am looking into doing biscotti cookies from Bella Napoli in Latham,NY (FI's family is italian)..... but that seems kinda boring to me haha. What are you girls doing for favors at your wedding?

Saratoga National has all of the glassware and scoops for it too.  Hall of Springs may as well, if it is something you are interested in!

We are doing a candy "bar" all of the candy will be our wedding colors.

My grandfather died in 2008 from cancer so we are giving the ACC money for each guest, at each seat im putting information about not only my grandfather but in lieu of a favor we are giving $5.00 for each person.. Im thinking i might do a train ticket kind of look (because my grandfather worked for the train station in Ress. for over 40 yrs)

I've been to plenty of weddings where they make a charitable donation in lieu of gifts, I think that in talking to folks most people appreciate it over some cheesy favor that they have gotten at a bajillion weddings previous to yours!!  I think it's a great idea especially bc it has personal meaning to you and your family.
My fiance and father are home brewers so they're home brewing and bottling a special "Wedding Brew" for our favors and I'm designing the labels and tags!!

Thank you, I agree I was looking for days for favors and I kept saying "Would I  want this" lol.. I think its a great idea and it still has him "in/at" the wedding .

Oh thats another good idea! The labels are you going to name the "brew" or have something about your love story on the lable?

That is very touching, I'm doing something similar. Im an donating $2 per person towards Shriners Hospital (my dad is a burned victim, treated there) and $2 per person to Dana Farber (FI uncle is a leukemia survivor, treated there). On the menu cards, at the bottom it will say something like "a donation has been make to Dana Farber and Shriners Hospital)

Since my colors are lavender and silver, we're putting silver-foiled Hershey's kisses inside small sheer lavender bags.  Simple simple simple...and affordable.
