Non Dairy Cake???

Hi! I've been watching these boards for awhile, but am just starting to post. I'm getting married April 24, 2010 at the Webster Golf Club (Rochester area).Does anyone know of a baker who would make a cake that doesn't have dairy in it? I've got serious allergies but still would like to have a cake at my wedding!!!HELP!!!! Thanks!!!

    have you considered doing a "normal" cake and then a different cake for yourself? just a thought. Another suggestion would be to go to Wegmans in Pittsford and find out what exactly they can do. Jewish people that keep kosher (as myself) who have meat at weddings (as I will) have no alternative but a dairy free cake so I imagine it is not impossible. I have to admit- dairy free chocolate cake is AMAZING! Have you tried the usual bakeries? make some calls, i doubt this is a very unique issue.

    Try Eco Bella Bakery located on South Ave... I don't live in Rochester but went to school there and just noticed a friend's facebook post regarding this - her kids have food allergies and she's thrilled to have found this place.  I guess it is owned by a registered RN and it sounds like they work with you based on your needs.Good luck!!

    Malek's in Brighton is a kosher bakery. Try them
