Finger Lakes brides?

I know this is probably a longshot but I was looking for any other Finger Lakes brides... upstate New York is really the closest thing on the boards to the Finger Lakes... anybody out there?

I am a newbie, just introduced myself in an above post, but my FI and I are looking at the Rochester and Finger Lakes areas for our August 2011 wedding. We are campers and a real outdoorsey couple, so we would love a campground and/or park wedding.I was originally interested in the Glen Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park, but would really like somewhere we can bring in our own vendors. We are also considering Watkins Glen, Stonybrook State Park, and Ithaca.Where are you ladies looking? It will be nice to have some fellow knotties planning in the same general area that we are. Looking forward to planning with you :o)

I keep looking for a venue I like (I've got a while, I know) but I just can't seem to find the right place. I think it's because I really want to have it at the Bully Hill vineyards on Keuka.

Hi there! We're from the Syracuse area but are getting married in the Fingerlakes at Glenora Wine Cellars in Dundee, NY next May.  It's a beautiful location - the reception area and back deck look out onto vineyards and Seneca Lake - its worth checking out if you're looking for an outdoorsy place.  Another bonus: they have an Inn with 30 rooms and a guest cottage right there so if your family / friends are partiers like ours you don't have to worry about anyone driving!  Good luck!

We were married in Watkins Glen and then had our reception at Wagner Winery.  Vendor info and pics in my bio if you are intersted.

We are planning our wedding in Ithaca! We are currently living in FL, but we met in Ithaca and I really wanted to keep everything IN Ithaca for sort of sentimental reasons I guess. We're having our reception at Celebrations (our first choice was Six Mile Creek Winery but we went with Celebrations for financial reasons), and we're still trying to figure out our ceremony. It's proving to be difficult to plan from such a distance but we'll make it work!

I'm in Canandaigua.. need to find a new location.. my thousand island location is being sold.. :(  Would also welcome suggestions for locations. My location was an outdoor wedding, and reception, at a friends motel over looking boldt castle.. I'm looking for new options.. Maybe a beautiful site, and then a reception at a location where people can be outside and also stay there.

We live in Rochester, my FI grew up in Naples and I grew up in Rochester.  We are getting married at church in Naples, and having our reception at the South Bristol Cultural center (overlooking canandaigua). We are putting up a tent (150-180 people), but they also have inside that can fit about 80 i think. We are renting the whole grounds for the whole day, costing us ~$300? we are bringing all our own vendors. There Bristol Harbour also - really close and they have big banquet rooms, etc. Pricey for me, but depending on what you want. There are also rooms and a restarurant there. good luck.

I highly recommend Bristol Harbour Resort on Canandaigua Lake, it's elegance meets outdoors.
