Hi, I'm planning an evening rooftop ceremony just before sunset (7:30 pm) immediately followed by a cocktail reception with appetizers, dessert station, champagne toast, DJ/dancing, cake. I would love help with my timeline. What time frame is too short and what is too long. We plan to have the majority of posed pics take place prior, so that the hors d'oevre reception can immediately follow the ceremony instead of holding a cocktail hour followed by dinner (do to budget). We plan to have plenty to be clear on our invites so that peoople know not to expect dinner. We will have plenty of appetizers though. Any suggestions on time line and what to do to ensure that people stay and dance and celebrate? Is 3 hours too long? to short?
