A saratoga spring wedding in need of help!

Greetings! I grew up in NY and I want to have my wedding there. My family, my friends are all there. My problem is I am now in WA, my fiance lives here so I moved in with him. I know I'd like to get married in April of next year and we're looking at the Universal Preservation Hall, it's downtown right next to Starbucks. The woman I spoke with told me they have a caterer they work with and I looked and I want something less formal that what they do. So my question is, has anyone gotten married there? If so, do they allow other caterers? I'd like to have Longfellows cater, they do a BBQ style buffet which would be more fitting for my family. Thanks for any help!

Hi I've never been to that church but did you ask them if they allow another caterer?  Some venues have strict rules on who they allow.  Could you have the reception at Longfellows?  Or ask the hall's catering company to make BBQ instead of their regular menu? Good luck and ask lots of questions if you have more!

Hm, I live a block away from the Universal Preservation Hall and I didn't even know that the renovations were complete. It still looks like a mess from the outside. I think they JUST replaced the steps, but its still all torn up. Classe Catering is wonderful as is Black Diamond catering. Good Luck!
