Laura Kozlowski Photography (Ithaca, NY)

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with Laura Kozlowski. 

Our wedding consultant at our venue recommended her, and when my fiance and I spoke with her on the phone, we liked what we heard.  I also like her work (she sent us pictures from a wedding she did at our venue last year), and the price is one we can reasonably afford.

However, the only thing I'm hesitant about is the fact we do not get negatives until one year after the wedding.  There will be an online gallery for ordering prints, but I do not know the quality of the photos on the online gallery (i.e., are they going to be large enough to email to people?).  Is this typical for the area?  Is it even a big deal?  Has anyone used Laura in the past?  If so, what was your experience with the online gallery?

I can't really help with Laura specifically, but I got married in the Ithaca area. I would guess you don't get the negatives so that you can't make prints yourself during the first year. The online gallery is usually a fine way to look at photos but you often can't save the file by right clicking on it (there are ways around this though). I emailed people our online gallery to see but it's often a lot of photos. If you are fine ordering all your prints from her, I don't really see a problem with it. HTH

i don't know her specifically but it's normal for them to keep the negatives for a while & use an online gallery so you have to get the prints from the photographer. the galleries usually look completely fine. you can often send ppl a link to the gallery so they can look or order. but as ppl said right clicking is usually disabled though sometimes [not always] you can drag & drop. maybe see if you can look at the gallery of other wedding she's done. sometimes you can.
