An Old Favorite- The Inn at Erlowest

The Inn is currently the future Mr's first choice, but I've read all the boards and heard all the stories. I've noticed, however, no one's really mentioned the place at all, bad or good, in about two years. Have they gotten their act together, or have people stopped using it as a venue?

Re: An Old Favorite- The Inn at Erlowest

  • My cousin got married there (maybe 7 years ago?).  I didn't go to the wedding because I was college at the time but my fiance and I just spent the weekend there!  We had a great time!  It wouldn't have worked for us as a venue (didn't like the fact that we would have to have the cocktail hour outside and the weather could be iffy, and the ballroom was not in the style we were looking for.  Also, it didn't hold the amount of people we intended to invite), but it really is beautiful.  We stayed in the Montcalm room for two nights and we had a huge private balcony and a beautiful view of the lake as well as a two person jacuzzi in the room.

If you want, PM me and you can friend me on Facebook (if you are on there) and I'll point you to my pictures from the weekend!
  • The Inn was one of my top choices.  I ultimately didn't go with it because the rooms were really pricey and my family wasn't very comfortable with the prices.  It was also expensive for the meals approx. $160/person.  I LOVED the venue, it was everything I was looking for, but it didn't end up working out. Iit was also really buggy near the water for the ceremony.
