Where to buy dress in albany area???

Hi ladies!
I'm having an intimate wedding this June in NC.  I've yet to get my wedding dress...eek!!  I'll need to get it in the capital region...and soon.

I am desperate for suggestions on where to go.  I feel like I've heard horror stories about every single place.  There HAS to be a great place to go...recommendations please!!  Also, let me know if you did alterations at the same place or elsewhere.

Thanks!!

Before I went shopping for my gown, I heard horror stories about every place out there as well. I finally decided I had to start somewhere, and picked the most convenient ones. I started with Danielle's in Saratoga and was not impressed at all. My second stop was Ferri Formals in Schenectady, and I thought the customer service was great. My search ended at David's Bridal in Colonie, where I stopped in to try on a wider variety of cuts in my size, and wound up falling in love. I don't have any complaints about the service there....I changed my wedding party's colors, returned my gown when I decided to buy it in the extra length so I could wear heels, and they rolled with the punches.

Good luck, and enjoy the experience!

I ended up buying my dress at Davids Bridal in Colonie as well.  I've heard good things about Angela's Bridal on Western Ave in Guilderland though (although I found them a bit pricey).

I have heard horror stories about every bridal shop as well. I ended up going to Jacquelines in Glens Falls - I thought the service was great. I went to Danielle's in Saratoga too - the service was good, but the store is unorganized I thought. And my search ended at Bridal Gallery by Yvonne's in Latham.

I bought mine at Ferri Formals in Schenectady.  The ladies there were wonderful!  And I got a great deal.

I got my dress at Angelas it is by far one of the bst stores in the area. Yvonnes is nice too but they do cut the designers out of your dress and refuse to tell you who made it. Ferri Formals was horrible lots of dresses but very very pushy. Davids is just horrible in all aspects. Thoughts and best wishes the ladies were nice but depending upon your price point the dresses were not america made. My price point was 2k to 4k all the dresses at Angelas fell in that range. Lily in saratoga is great too, tons of dresses and nice girls.

I had a great experience at Angela's and I was really dreading dress shopping.  The dresses start around $1000, so be forewarned if your budget is less than that.

They give a 10% discount to bridesmaids' and mothers' dresses, too.  I only have one attendant and she got a really nice dress for around $150.

After a disastrous experience at another bridal shop in Poughkeepsie, I was so relieved to find dress shopping to be fun at Angela's.

I know I'm late to respond and you've probably gotten your dress already, but I wanted to chime in for Angela's on Western Ave. I bought my dress there last November and had a GREAT experience. I got a really good deal and only spent a tiny bit above my budget ($1000).
