rings...advice?

Hi everyone!  This is my first time on this board (currently live here, but will be getting married near Boston where I grew up).  I was hoping some of you might be able to steer me in the right direction.

I am interested in finding a small, independent, local jeweler to make our wedding bands.  We typically like to support small/local businesses, so why not for this type of purchase as well?  I did find one woman via Etsy who is located in Altamont, but my fiance wasn't crazy about her rings.  Also note that we are on a pretty tight budget.

Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance

My girlfriends fiance had her ring made at Glenpeter - a family owned jeweler.  Her ring is gorgeous.  Also, coming up this month (March) Glenpeter is having a buy one get one on wedding bands *INCLUDING* custom work!  Might want to give them a call!

FI and I got out rings at Glenpeter as well.... and we got them during the buy on ring, get one free sale!!! It was a great value, and the customer service was fantastic! I recommend them as well!

Hannoush all the way! They were started right around Boston (where I go to school) but have 3 stores in the country, 2 in NY (colonie and CP and 1 right outside Boston). They custom made my engagement ring and are also making my bands. Everything comes with gem lab certification and their price is perfect. The one in CP is located at exit 9 in the same plaza off route 9 as jenny craig and boarders (or barnes and nobles..I cannot remember). The one in Colonie is located on the 2nd floor of colonie mall.

I got my rings from Glennpeters as well.  They're gorgeous, and I love the BOGO idea they have.  Go ASAP  bc I know their offer does expire this month.  Good luck!

We just went to Glenpeter this afternoon and found rings that we absolutely love.  They really were great there!
