Capital Region Venue- Low Cost

I'm trying to lower the cost of my wedding.  One way to do this is not to have it at a traditional venue.  I was thinking an Elks Lodge, Thachers Park, or something like that.  Anyone have any ideas? I need help!  (wedding date: 9/15/12)

    I recently found out that The Crossings in Lathm/Colonie does wedding ceremonies. It looked nice. Not sure what time of year you were thinking.
