I was wondering if any of you know about a place where I could buy flowers, but not a flower shop in Saratoga - Albany area. I am a budged bride and I want to do my flowers and the centerpieces myself.

Hey! There is a Michaels in clifton park with a decent selection and on some days they have 30% off coupons. They are still pretty pricey here, but I found this website, recommended to me from another knottie. I don't know how to you feel about ordering on line but so far, this place has the cheapest prices. www.afloral.com

Thank you, but I should have specified that I want real flowers...I know that silk flowers can be beautiful but that's just my thing...

No problem, in that case, try Price Chopper's floral department in clifton park, they are very inexpensive.

I was just looking into this myself.  I came across two flower farms last night online in Saratoga... Native Flower and Balet flowers.  They grow the flowers and you can buy in bulk from them.  Also, the Troy Farmers Market has a bunch of similar vendors who probably sell them on the cheap.

I used Price Chopper too... for Hydrangeas --- the cheapest wholesaler I could find in the entire country was $3.50 a stem... Price Chopper did it for $4/stem... $0.50 was well worth not having to worry about shipping damage.
