Albany Area DJ Recs?

Hi Girls,

Can anyone recommend an Albany area-based DJ that is not outrageously expensive ($2k+ for 4 hours!) and not too overly involved/ cheesey (think: no passing out boas or glow in the dark items)?

Thanks so much in advance!!

Sorry I'm not much help but I'm in the same boat as you. We wanted DJ Jeff Richards out of conway entertainment, but hes booked. So the Company reccomended DJ Russ Gentner. (anyone use him before?) Hes young but they quotes us about $900 for 5 hrs. So I think I'm going to set up a meeting to see what hes about. Other then that my photographer suggested DJ Andy Pratt. He quoted us $1200. You may want to try him>? I think theres other good reviews on this board about him. Good Luck!

We used Greg Fraiser, also many girls on this board have used Mike Garassi (the music man).  We paid ~800 for 4 hours, then 125 overtime for the 5th hour (we had arranged possible overtime in advance)

Check out Paul Malo.  We're going with a band but one of the wedding venues we looked at said "Paul is the best of the best!".

I went to a wedding last summer and they used Conway Entertainment with DJ Russ. You are right he was very young. The bride's only complaint about her wedding was her DJ. He was the ultimate cheese and did not play the songs she had asked for in advance. That wedding has pushed me to get a band for my own wedding.
