Finger Lakes Photographer Suggestions

Looking for photographer suggestions for the Finger Lakes area.  Could be a photographer who specifically serves the Finger Lakes Region or it could be a photographer who is willing to travel.  I want the photographer to take both our engagmenet photo's and wedding photo's - no studio photo's.  Engagement photo's would need to be shot in the FLX area. I am looking for a photographer who has a modern edge, with a somewhat vintage flair for their pictures.

Suggestions welcome!  Links to websites/Facebook pages appreciated! Thank you! Smile

Re: Finger Lakes Photographer Suggestions

  • I'm getting married in the Finger Lakes and we decided to use Danille Gerritsen.  I love her photo style and somewhat vintage finish.  We decided against engagement photos, but she does do them as well.  She also got good ratings on WW.
  • You should look into our photographer. His name is Jason Gardner. He and his wife photograph together. I know they travel and don't charge extra for it. their portfolio is very impressive, and to top it off, Jason earned an Emmy recently. My pictures are amazing! I love them all. His website is www.gardnerphotography.net
  • We used Jeffrey Foote and highly recommend him.  He shot our engagement photos on location (Burdett) and this session was included in our package.  He also came to our rehearsal dinner in Lodi.  Our ceremony was at Hector Presbyterian Church and the reception was at Glenora.  So he definitely covers the Finger Lakes! :)

We interviewed a handful of photographers but felt that he was best able to capture the soft, romantic, modern and nature-y style we were looking for.  We absolutely love our photos!  He is super laid back and open to any suggestions that you may have.  A lot of our guests commented on how professional and courteous he was, which I think says a lot because I have been to weddings where photographers seem to knock guests over to get the best shot.

Best of luck in your planning!  The Finger Lakes are beautiful!
