Tennessee

Not wedding related. Sorry!

I was just over on the nest and the TN board over there is very very slow. I am planning a vacation to Nashville next May and was looking for hotel recs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Looking for something unique to the area as the person Im going with has never been.

Which part of Nashville do you want to stay in? Downtown area or south of town? What sightseeing are you going to participate in?

Well, it depends on where in Nashville you want to be and your budget, but here are a few nicer ones...
Wyndham Union Station- a refurbished train station that is right downtown (and absolutely gorgeous inside)
Gaylord Opryland Resort- HUGE hotel and unique inside...pretty atrium and nice restaurants.
The Hermitage Hotel- 5 star hotel, gorgeous inside and incredible service (but pricy)
Hotel Indigo- boutique hotel feel and very trendy- only a few blocks from Broadway

The Hotel Indigo is definitely awesome, and like PP said, close to Broadway, where all the clubs and bars are.

The Hutton hotel is also really fabulous, and basically down the street from Hotel Indigo.  FI used to stay there when he was travelling to Nashville for work.  We live in that neighborhood now and we go to the Hutton's bar for happy hour sometimes.  The restaurant is good and we've had a few celebrity sightings too.  :)

The Wyndham Union Station is a very beautiful and unique hotel.  You can go in and tour it even if you don't stay there, which is actually worth the time.

    Have fun!
