My fiance and I decided to plant a unity tree during the ceremony. It fits with our outdoor theme and we both wanted something no one had seen before. We are both planting sapplings of our favorite tree in a pot during the ceremony. Our mothers will come up and scoop the first bit of dirt in for us and we will finish the planting.My question is how do we ask people to bring a little dirt from home to put in the pot of our unity tree. We were going to send out small ziplock bags with the invites so they can bring some from home or their favorite outdoor spot and I was jsut trying to think of creative ways to ask people to do that.
