I was married in Memphis this past weekend and thought I would share my vendor reviews with you all. Please let me know if you have any questions. Wedding Coordinator : A Amy Miller of Amy Miller Weddings and Events She was great. She made sure everything was ready and set to go. She was very good in the planning days of helping me know what to do and when. Upon booking with her I received a great Wedding Binder to keep all of information together and organized. She was great! Reception Site : A TPC Southwind – Julie Smith What a great venue! Everything was beautiful and we were treated so well by Julie and her staff. When my husband and I walked in to the reception site we were blown away by how good everything looked and how great the food was. Julie personally made sure we had a sample of everything at our sweetheart table. Everyone is still talking about how good the food was. Wedding DJ: A Dingo Entertainment - Tommy Wow…We had a great party and it was because of Tommy. He made the difference between people just sitting on their butts and getting up and grooving. Everyone had a great time and danced the night away. I found Tommy was very easy to work with and has such a strong knowledge of what to do it makes you as the Bride feel so relaxed. Also, when my husband and I left the reception Tommy gave us a CD with all our special music from the night. It was a great keepsake from the night! Wedding Photographer: A Josh Malahy Photography – Josh Malahy Josh is amazing. First of all the engagement pictures he took of us were great and when we met a couple days before the wedding he made me feel like we were going to get everything we needed from the day. As he was shooting he showed me several pictures and I was blown away. I can’t wait to see them all! Wedding Cake : D Drapers The most disappointing part of my Wedding by far was the Wedding Cake. I called 3 weeks before the Wedding to make changes to our order and the changes were confirmed two days prior. We were assured everything was in place and ready to go. When my Wedding Coordinator got to the reception site before our cocktail hour was to begin Drapers was still setting up our cake. They were over an hour late on set up and only got things together a few minutes before guest arrived. When they did get things set the cake was leaning….bad. By the time I saw it for the first time it was leaning so bad I thought it was going to tip. The straw that broke the camel’s back for me though happened when we actually cut the cake…..the flavors were wrong and the changes I had made and that had been confirmed were ignored and the cake was not what I paid for. I called Drapers Monday after the Wedding and was greeted with a lot of excuses and finally was give a $200 credit on my $800 order.
