Wedding venue to remember?

My fiance and I just got engaged in Asbury Park... which he absolutley loves.  We are trying to find a wedding venue that people will remember.  So far most venues seem to be basically the same... Nice, but nothing with a "wow" type factor.  Can anyone name a great (but reasonably priced) wedding venue with a little something extra - say a great view of the beach, a great view of the city, or something like that.

  • You might ask your local board to your left if they have any ideas.

Come over to the Jersey board. The ladies over there have a ton of places they can recommend. Keep in mind that although you want a venue with a "wow" factor, the food is what people will be takling about. Many girls like myself choose better food over a better looking venue.

  • How about the idea of castle venues? I recently attended one in Ontario. It was simply awesome. It was a picturesque spot and absolute dream venue. Why can't you look for such castle wedding venues?
  • This won't help you locally, but I would say try looking off the beaten path. We are getting married in an old building downtown that actually used to be a warehouse used to store ice before the days of refrigeration. It is a super cool historic building. The reception and cocktail spaces inside are industrial looking spaces used as art galleries now, and our ceremony will be in an open air room that looks almost like an old cathedral.
