Flowers for deep purple dresses?

Hello everyone,
I'm getting married in May 2012 in TN, and my colors are deep purple (lapis, according to DB), cream, and silver. I want to use cream roses for the bridesmaid bouquets, but I'm unsure what other colors will be complementary. I don't want to use green or blue flowers if I can help it, and I'm afraid pink and red will look too strange. Am I being too picky? Also, I wanted to carry a red rose bouquet, but my fiance is convinced it won't look good in the pictures with the bridesmaids' purple dresses. I was hoping to compromise with a cream rose bouquet with a few red roses, so that my bouquet doesn't disappear into my dress. Thoughts on either my bouquet or my bridesmaids? Thanks so much.

I think light pink or peach could be a pretty accent color with a deep purple and cream. Think light pink roses or hydrangea or peach roses or carnations. I've also seen purple dresses with light yellow flowers, such as yellow roses, lilies, etc.

Thanks so much for the ideas, everyone! I think I'm going to go play around in the floral selection at Hobby Lobby....:-)
  • I had the same color BM dresses, and there is what we're doing. I tried to stay away from having set colors, this bouquet includes topaz roses, green hydrangea, white tulips, and small purple flowers.
