What's the Weather Like..?

in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg TN in early October? I was just wondering because my FI & I are taking our honeymoon there. We are staying at Oak Haven Resort. I thought I'd ask on the local board hoping any of you ladies would know. We're very excited about it we've been hearing nothing but wonderful things out there & it's really going to our kind of honeymoon. Also are there any must see places to go? I know the Aquarium, Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, the caverns & all of the wonderful hiking we can do but if anyone else knows where else to go please let me know. Thank You

You should have phenomenal weather! October is my favorite time of year around here. Early October is just a tad bit before the leaves start changing but I'm sure some will be at that point depending on how dry or wet our summer ends up being. Temperature wise you can except mild to warm days and somewhat chilly evenings. Probably 70s during the day and 50s at night. If you have time I suggest making the trip into Knoxville for the day. The downtown area is really starting to the thrive and there are all kinds of events going on most weekends and some week nights and some really great places to eat.

Thank you so much. We're hoping some of the leaves will be changed around her by our wedding day October 3. But like you said & my FI said it all depends on our summer. I got hiking boots yesterday because we plan to hike through the mountains alot & go fishing. We will definetly take a trip into Knoxville. We'll be in TN for a week. Thank you again I appreciate it. I think we're more excited for our honeymoon then we are for the wedding. :) We can't wait to travel some where we have never been & have a honeymoon that fits our taste. We said forget traveling to another country our own country has so many beautiful places of it's own to see :)

October is the best time ever to go to Gatlinburg. It's FINALLY starting to cool down but hasn't yet gotten to chlly to enjoy being outside. The leaves should also be starting to change, depending on what time of the month you go.

    Have fun!

If you really want to know go online and look at the farmers almanac.  It will let you pull up any date in the past and provide weather details.  I did this for our wedding date and went back checking the weather for the past ten years. It put my mind at ease :)
