RSVP Ettiquette

Okay, So I was wanting to know how I could get a head count for the reception when people don't RSVP. We are serving food and I MUST have a head count a month before the wedding. Any suggestions on wording this into the invitation?

Well the fact that your asking for an RSVP is really the only thing you should have to say, but people are rude nowadays and do not know what RSVP means. My suggestion would be to make your RSVP date a week or two before when you HAVE to have them in, so that those slackers who have not gotten back to, well, you will have to track them down. I had to do it, and most brides do!

My RSVP date is 2 weeks before the wedding, so I can track down missing people if necessary. That's what you do, start calling and getting a firm number.
