New Trend-- what do you think?

Give me your thought on Blue crinolines? The pic below is of a knottie named RachNRich. She uses it as her siggy and it is one of her bridals. Can you think of any other trendy bridal things?

I really can't think of any new trends related to weddings. Umm...maybe letting your BMs have free range on dresses? Welcome bags in the hotel rooms?

As for the pic: Some would consider this a trash the dress photo. Others would say it is high fashion or artistic. Is it about having the slip being blue? I think having it blue is fun. The photograph is also very nice.

Rach's pic is phenomenal, and I love looking at it everytime she posts. There are more that are awesome too, but I think you'd have to ask her to see them.

I think if they are done correctly and someone has a high fashion look like Rach does, then it looks good.

I've seen more cupcake trees at weddings than I've ever seen before. We want to do an unusual take on this and do petit fours.

I've also seen more uneven sides, more guys girls or brides men, dresses that aren't white, etc. but I don't know if I would consider those trends, or just a relaxation of the old traditions.

I think the blue crinoline is fun for pictures, but I don't know about actually wearing it to the wedding ceremony. I'm finding out through the planning process that I have a lot more of a "classic" or "traditional" taste than I thought I did. To each their own though . . .

Blue- RachnRich is the knottie in the picture. She frequents E and SB. I don't think she is a mod.

I love personal touches like colored crinolines or shoes or props, depending on your own style. I really like when a couple's personality comes out in their wedding and I think little details like that do matter. I had bright green shoes and a lemonade stand at my ceremony, but that's just me. For more traditional brides, their classic style is just how they are. I am not sure it's so much jumping on to a trend as just expressing your personal style.

How did you do the lemonade stand? Where was it? That is super unique!

We had an outdoor ceremony and the lemonade stand was off to the side right before you reach the seating area. (Similar to people just having a table for programs. Our programs were also here too.) It was just a table with lemonade in glass dispensers and metal tubs of iced bottled water. We had glasses there for people to get their own lemonade. I wish we could've had mason jars as glasses and a personalized stick in the glass but our guest list was pretty big and we just didn't have room for this in the budget. Anyway, the table was decorated with lemons and limes. Next to the table we had a wooden sign stuck in the ground with just "Lemonade Stand" painted on it. It was really popular with the guests and as soon as I walked back down the aisle after the reception I went over there and got a glass for myself because it was HOT!

RachNRich OMG I am so sorry----I feel really dumb now-- I see where you just wrote the blue cinolines-- and I thought you posted the pic. Wow--- stupid moment for me.  I honestly thought was off of another website) and I just copy and pasted it here. I am really sorry if I offended you--- It is a BEAUTIFUL pic!! Do you want me to take it down?

Knot Annie asked for trends-- and your pic was posted in there. I just reposted it because I have never even seen this done before, and wanted to give Annie more trends that were being seen out there.

I wore red shoes at my wedding. Our colors were yellow and red and my bridesmaids wore yellow dresses and had red shoes (and red gerbers) so I wore red shoes too. I also had my guestbook/program girls wear red shoes too. It was really cute! =)
