Hey ladies!! Tell me something good!

Just wanted to check in with everyone!  What is good with everyone? Share your good news report here!!

School is ending and I will soon be living in the New Braunfels area. Still haven't heard from Texas State about admission, because they tell me they are super behind on applications. That is a little blah... but we are dealing with it. We are heading up to Ohio to meet the FI's family. I have never been up there, and from what I understand it is going to be a total shell shock for this city girl. My fiancee's parents live on a 20 mile farm. OMG! LOL

Sounds like a fun trip BB! Take your long johns for sure :)

As far as my good news, my FI just started a new job on Monday.  He was unemployed for 4 months, which made things tough financially, but we made it work.  I almost miss him being at home because he was acting housekeeper and we would meet up for lunch often during the week.

We also received our save-the-date postcards and they're wonderful! Now I'll have a weekend full of addressing postcards. I also discovered the mypublisher website yesterday and made a very cool guest book using our engagement pics. Only 3 more months to go and I think I get a little more excited & giddy each day. And to think a few months ago, I didn't think I had the bride gene . . .

    We are almost done...

Getting married New Year's Eve.  Everything is purchased and ready, just need to get our marriage license next week.  We are having a NYE party a couple hours after the reception and things are pretty much in place for that as well.

BB enjoy the trip and FR enjoy the weekend and getting your cards out.

The wedding is in a week! I'm excited, but I'm scared for reasons that have nothing to do with the wedding or marriage itself (mom's health), but since this is a good news post, I'm excited about the wedding!

We have almost everything done, except printing and tying ribbon and escort cards to the ornaments, print and tie programs, and print and tie place cards. These last things should take a weekend at most, so next week will be finishing up various appointments and resting.

My mom decided to fly to Florida to visit us for my birthday. She said she's been needing a break from wedding planning and wants to hang out on the beach! Funny because she's not the one stressing, I am! :-)

And my DOC has been in constant contact with me since we're planning from afar. She said she wouldn't add this into her fee, so I'm going to get her a very nice present for Christmas and for the wedding as well!
