I'm curious about your Bouquets experience. I'm using them for my wedding in a month and am wondering if there is something I need to triple check with them.

Stephen F Austin would have had an A+ if they did not have such a very, very long waiting time in getting the entrée’ out, and if they didn’t serve such a very small portion of wedding cake. Their food was delicious, and they did give us extra services, and they were great to work with. I gave them an A-. Stephanie of Bouquets of Austin was very nice, and she did a beautiful sample centerpiece and pew marker that I paid for and used at a shower. If she had delivered the same as the samples, I would have given her an A+. The only problem was that the reception centerpieces you could see through; she made them taller and sparse. The pew markers were not as nice either. The Church flowers were only carnations; I would think she would have put more carnations, but they were tall and sparse. I had asked to have the last pews roped off with ribbon, both the middle aisle and side aisles; she only did the middle aisle. The bridal bouquet, boutonnieres, and corsages were beautiful. We spent $4,295. I was disappointed. I gave her a B. Michele’s Patisserie would have an A+ if the groom’s cake looked more like the photo we gave her. The bride’s cake was just beautiful. Both cakes were delicious. I gave her an A. Die Gelb Carriages would have an A+ if the carriage had a new paint job and the driver didn’t wear a funny looking scarf on her head (it was not a religious scarf). I gave them an A. Carey Austin Limo gave us a good deal, and they were very prompt in picking up. I gave them an A+. First In Last Out gave us a good deal, and they did a good job on lighting. I gave them an A+. Marquee Rentals were prompt on delivering, and had beautiful tablecloths to rent. I gave them an A+. Good luck and God Bless you in your choices.

Oh that's disappointing about Bouquets of Austin.  I'd be upset if my arrangements were sparse, too.  Can I ask how many centerpieces/big arrangements and bouquets you had for that quote?  We have florist appts next week (including BoA) so I want to be realistic.

We had 10 reception centerpieces on 10 tall gold trumpet vases @$215, one large arrangement on the escort card table $250, three boutonniers totaling $33, 4 corsages totaling $70, 1 bridal bouquet @ $195, 1 throwing bouquet @ free, 2 large centerpieces at the high altar at church @225 and two smaller centerpieces at the side altars @ $100. There was toss petals for 140 people @ $1.50. There was virgin Mary Arrangement for $20. Delivery and pick up was $200.00., This totaled $4,294 with tax. Oh, no fun.  Your wedding will be similar to mine, and I thought I could get away with closer to $3000 for flowers.  hmm...

prices will vary greatly on what flower you actually want, time of year, ect. Talk to a vendor and if you're flexible with some of the 'filler' flowers - you can pay a lot less.

I agree with Cindy about both Bouquets and Michelle's. My words of wisdom: spell everything out, use lots of photos, ask for a moc-up of the flowers... repeat yourself again and again. Lots of communication. Best wishes to all!
