Thank you all for your great suggestions on how to solve the issue of the missing bridesmaids dress. Linda at Alfred Angelo (S. I-35) was amazingly helpful with offering to track down any grape size 6 in the warehouse. Serious kudos to her for assuring me that all hope was not lost. Unfortunately, purchasing in Austin still required shipping to Chicago. Meanwhile, my BM in Chicago called all of the certified AA dealers in the area. Most were rude, but she found a saint of a woman told her all of her options and it turns out that any dress shown in grape on the AA website is a sample and can be at the store w/in a few days.
