AW: Shower Next Weekend...Registry Stalking!

This might sound terrible, but my shower is next Saturday (yay!), so I've been stalking my registries. But, nothing is getting purchased! Did this happen to anyone else? I imagine myself sitting at the shower smiling and nodding as I open really random things that aren't on the registry. Am I crazy? I am not even materialistic or greedy! Maybe I'm having a bridezilla moment??

You WILL get things that aren't on your registry, so just be prepared for that. I just hope your people think to bring you gift receipts... mine didn't! A lot of people wait until the last minute to buy gifts. I'm sure you'll get some of the things you want. Have fun!

My shower is this Wednesday and I have also been stalking. Anyways, I did not see things leave the registry, until around this past Friday. People are slow to go buy gifts!I also know a lot of people probably started getting their invitations with the registry info (via our website) in them.~Julie

I usually wait until the day before to buy gifts...sometimes the day of depending what time the function is! Haha. People procrastinate. Although the pp is right, you will inevitably get gifts you didn't "want", but just grin and bear it At least they thought of you enough to buy something, right? Haha. Have fun!

Oh gosh, I bet I sounded terrible!  I am incredibly grateful to have folks throwing me a shower and I know it'll be SO fun...

LOL, no you didn't sound terrible. Those thoughts are to be expected...thankfully we have places like the Knot to voice those concerns without being judged by our friends and family
