The Preggers Bride

I read a post about this a while ago but don't recall if it was on our board or not. I laugh at myself about it all the time for thinking about it - so I thought I'd see who else wants to get a laugh or maybe others feel this way too...anyway, for whatever reason, every month I worry about being pregnant and how I will fit into my dress, etc. since at this point I will be 'X' number of months at the wedding...and of course I am NOT pregnant. But I really think that once I pass the 'three months to go' mark I will feel a lot better for many reasons, especially this one. End of ridiculousness.

That's funny - I told FI yesterday that at this point if it happened it wouldn't be the end of the world - I would still be able to fit into my dress.  :)  Great minds and all.....

HA! I've totally had that conversation with friends. For me, there was some joke made around the 2 month mark. My response was that I'd still fit in my dress, but I wouldn't be able to drink at the reception or on the honeymoon. And then there is that whole "i'm 24 and too selfish to take care of another human being" thing. :)

I'm 31 and say the same thing. LOL! I don't have this convo with my friends though - they are bad enough on their own asking if I am pregnant every time I say I am tired or don't feel good or something. What is it about getting married that make people say things about being pregnant for the wedding? Don't they realize it just stresses us out more than we already are? (or maybe they do and it's a form of bride torture...)

Ha! I know how you feel... I was just talking to FI about it last night! He is deployed right now so it's obviously impossible, but he'll be returning in a few months and it's a huge fear. I told him we need to be abstinent until the wedding. That didn't go over too well... lol

Suppose I'd be fine as well, but I want to drink, damn it. . It's not happening. Come hell or high water, I won't let it happen! :)

I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one with all of these thoughts!!  I remember about 5 months ago my cycle was late and I was SO worried!!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks about this stuff! (At this point I wouldn't be showing by the wedding, so if it happens, I don't have to worry about the dress anymore!) Mostly I was more worried about being able to take care of a baby though... money is pretty tight these days, I don't know how we would manage! We're planning to wait 3-5 years... hopefully by that time we'll be out of debt. So... fingers crossed that there are no accidents! :P

this post is hilarious!!! i have had the exact same things going through my mind for the last 4 months, too! i am 4 months and a week away from our big day so i'm almost in the clear about not showing. the worst thing is every month we go through the scare (i got off the pill awhile ago because it was throwing my body through a huge funk). you would think me and FI would learn our lesson. lol.

I definately think about it! FI thinks I'm crazy to worry about something like that, but I do.
